Sweet power of song
A recital with songs by Beethoven.
An entertaining and tender cavalcade of folk songs arranged by the German titan. Six soloists accompanied by an eminent trio, including Henning Ruhe, the Göteborg Opera’s Artistic Director Opera/Drama at the piano.

Much ado about Beethoven

Music by the 250-year jubilar, Korngold and Elgar. 

Two pieces by Beethoven as well as music by composers Korngold and Elgar. With Court Singer Katarina Karnéus and the Göteborg Opera Orchestra conducted by Yoel Gamzou.


An die Freude
Opera concert filled with longing.
Song, music and longing, performed by eleven of our opera soloists and the Göteborg Opera Chorus under the baton of Henrik Schaefer. The concert finishes on a note of joy and hope with Beethoven’s An die Freude (Ode to Joy).
