Tomas Lind, tenor, studied at the University of Opera in Stockholm, the city of his birth, and has been engaged at the Göteborg Opera since 1989. The many roles he has sung at the Göteborg Opera include lead roles such as Calaf in Turandot, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, the title role in Don Carlos and the role of Don Alvaro in La Forza del Destino. As guest soloist, he has sung roles including Alfredo in La Traviata and Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm as well as La Bohème and Alfredo in La Traviata at Folkoperan in Stockholm. Tomas Lind has also been engaged regularly for concert events, for example singing Alfred in Die Fledermaus at Seefestspiele Mörbisch, Erik in Der fliegende Holländer at the Göteborg Opera and Martin in Anne Pedersdotter at the Bergen International Festival. Next, Tomas Lind is performing Das Lied von der Erde with Katarina Karnéus in the concert Att leva, dö och överleva, Sigmund in Die Walküre at the Wagner Concert in Vara and also the Duke in Rigoletto.
