Tamara Saphir studied dance and theatre in Buenos Aires and Paris. She also achieved a Master 2 in philosophy, specializing in the relationship between movement and language. Since 2008, she lives and works in Berlin, where she collaborated with several independent companies and directors, such as Constanza Macras/Dorkypark. In 2008 she co-founded TnT theater group with her sister Tatiana Saphir and did the dramaturgy of their first piece “Brief history of Argentinian Punk” (Bordeaux, Berlin, Toulouse, Aulnoye-Aymeries, Royan, Santarcangelo, Rome, a.o. 2009-2011) . In 2014, she co-curated with Constanza Macras the cycle “On Fire”, an artistic exchange with south-african artists on gender and tradition in Berlin. Tamara Saphir has also worked as a choreographic adviser for theatre pieces in, for example, Paris and Berlin. In 2012, she wrote and directed “Une ville 5 etoiles”, a dance-theatre piece performed by 100 teenagers from Kourou, Guyana.
