Peter Svenzon started off as a break-dancer and then got his professional dance training at The Ballet Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden. After his education he worked internationally as a dancer/choreographer in among other countries, Italy, Germany, Denmark and Norway.
In 1998 he returned to Gothenburg and started his own dance company, Art Of Spectra and since then Peter has created more than 30 works for the company. The work has also been shown internationally and Art Of Spectra had regularly cultural support and funding since -99. In his work, Peter explores and constantly crosses borders between different art forms such as; Dance, theatre, music, video, visual art etc.
Has always worked in parallel as a music composer and has created music for all works of Art of spectra and also for other theatre and dance works. Peter has created dance works for Institutions such as Gothenburg Opera, Teater Vorpommern, Folkteatern and Dansens Hus. He also choreographed for theatre with directors such as Lars Norén, Vibeke Bjelke and others. 2013 Peter got the prestigious STENA A Olsson FOUNDATION award for Research and Culture.
