Natallia Salavei, Mezzo-soprano, was born in Minsk, Belarus but has lived in Sweden since 2012. She is a professional member of the Göteborg Opera Choir. Natallia graduated with a Master’s Degree in Song Pedagogy from the Maimonides Academy in Moscow where she studied under the supervision of Nadezhda Krasnaya. Natallia also attended the Belarusian State University for Culture and Art where she studied under Natallia Rudneva and later worked as a vocal coach. As part of her final degree, Natallia performed the title role in Carmen as well as the role of Mother Lucia in Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni. Natallia has also worked together with the Voice Coach Antonio Carangelo.
Natallia Salavei worked as a professional chorister and soloist at the National Opera of Belarus, performing roles such as Laura in Tchaikovsky's Iolanta, Flora in La Traviata and Olga in Eugene Onegin. Her opera repertoire includes Cherubino in the Marriage of Figaro, Marfa in Chovansjtjina, Lel in the Snow Maiden, Konchakovna in Prince Igor, Amneris in Aida and Ulrika in the Masked Ball. Natallia has also participated in a number of concerts and fairs.
At the Göteborg Opera, Natallia Salevia has covered a number of roles such as Clothilde in Norma, the Mother in the Monster in the Maze and Mother Lucia in Cavalleria Rusticana.
