Max Webster

Max Webster is an Associate Director at The Old Vic Theatre, London. For the Old Vic he has directed three world premiere productions - Ingmar Bergman’s Fanny & Alexander, Cover My Tracks and Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, which transferred to the Royal Alexandra Theatre Toronto, San Diego Old Globe & Minneapolis Children’s Theatre in the US.

Other work includes: The Merry Widow (English National Opera); As You Like It and Twelfth Night (Regent’s Park Open Air); The Sea of Fertility and Mary Stuart (Parco, Tokyo); The Jungle Book (Fiery Angel, UK Tour); The Twits (Leicester Curve); The Winter’s Tale (Edinburgh Lyceum); Owen Wingrave (British Youth Opera); Much Ado About Nothing (Globe Theatre); Shostakovich’s Hamlet (City of London Sinfonia); Orlando, To Kill a Mockingbird and My Young and Foolish Heart (Manchester Royal Exchange); James and the Giant Peach and My Generation (Leeds Playhouse); The Chalk Circle (Aarohan Theatre, Nepal); Carnival Under the Rainbow & Feast Kakulu (Hilton Arts Festival). Upcoming work includes the world premiere stage adaptation of Yann Martel's Life of Pi at Sheffield Crucible.
