Marsha Songcome is a Swedish musical artist educated at Performing Arts School in Gothenburg. Recently, she worked in the West End, London, most lately in the multi-awarded – including Tony Awards and Olivier Awards – musical Hamilton at Victoria Palace Theatre where she was standby for the roles of Eliza, Angelica and Peggy/Maria. She has also sung the female lead Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin the musical at the Prince Edward Theatre.
Marsha Songcome made her Swedish debut at Malmö Opera in Miss Saigon, 2013. She has also performed in Disney’s Aladdin the musical at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen/Fredericia Teater in Denmark. In 2014, she made her debut in the West End as understudy for the role of Gigi in Miss Saigon at the Prince Edward Theatre. After receiving the reward Best Understudy of the Year in the West End by broadwayworld.com, she took over the part in 2015.
Marsha Songcome appears in the movies Miss Saigon – 25th Anniversary and Miss Saigon – The Definitive Live Recording. She has also performed in several TV shows, including Disney’s Broadway hits at the Royal Albert Hall, BBC’s Children in Need, Sunday night at the Palladium, Olivier Award and The Royal Variety Performance.
