Lehna Edwall

Lehna is an award winning Artist, Designer, Set-, Production- and Costume Designer. She got her degree in Fashion Design (BA HONS) at Harrow College of Art in London, followed by a degree in Production Design at The Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (Dramatiska Institutet) and a Master Degree at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm.

During her long career as a designer, Lehna has worked with everything from fashion- and product design in retail to costume- and production design in film, TV, commercials and print advertising, as well as having dressed a large part of our Swedish artists.

Today Lehna mainly works as a Stage Production- and Costume Designer with clients such as the Royal Dramatic Theatre, Stockholm City Theatre, the Oscars Theatre and Dansens Hus (International Scene of Contemporary Dance) where she’s done several collaborations with the renowned choreographer Benke Rydman,among these production one can mention Swanlake, Nutcracker and Eurovision 2016. They are currently working on a new show to open in December 2019 , Snow White at Dansens Hus.

She also works with various kinds of exhibition designs, most recently at the Borgholm Castle (2014.) Additionally she designs objects for the home and garden. And are represented at the Svenst Tenn, Stockholm.

Lehna continuously works with her own artistry and is represented at The Levi’s Museum of San Francisco , and at Scenkonst museet in Stockholm. She has had art exhibitions at prestigious art institutions such as Liljevalch Vårsalong, Waldemarsudde, Göteborgs Konsthall and at Kulturhuset in Ytterjärna. In 2018 Lehna won a competition to create a fountain at a public square in Stockholm. The piece is called OUR SUN.

Lehna is also the founder and initiator of the global art project Unit Hope Project, which she started in 2005. www.unitehopeporject.com.
