Conny Thimander, lyric tenor, received his Master of Arts degree from the University College of Opera in Stockholm. In the 15/16 and 16/17 season he sings in M. F. Lange’s two operas Vom Mädchen, das nicht schlafen wollte in Theater Bonn and Die Schneekönigin at Deutshce Oper am Rhein, Sandon in Blomdahl’s Aniara at Malmö Opera, Ferrando in Così fan tutte at Confidencen in Sweden, Lindoro in L’Italiana in Algeri in Baden Baden and My brother is Don Juan at The Royal Opera in Stockholm.
Among his upcoming engagements are Goro in Madama Butterfly at Malmö Opera. Other roles past seasons have been Tamino in The Magic Flute, Pong in Turandot, The Italian singer in Capriccio, Remendado in Carmen, Harry in La fanciulla del West, directed by Christof Loy, all at The Royal Opera in Stockholm. At The Danish National Opera he has sung Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro and Ferrando in Così fan tutte, and a role in the opera Gegen die Wand at Deutsche Oper am Rhein. 2013 Conny Thimander received the Swedish Wagner Society Bayreuth Scholarship.
