Benito Marcelino studied in Amsterdam, New York and finished his studies in Monte Carlo with the support of a Stipedium by the late Princess Grace. He has been a principal dancer with the Frankfurt Ballet and Stuttgart Ballet. As a guest he performed among others with the Hamburg Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, English National Ballet, Ballet Nacional de Cuba, Arena Di Verona and at the Spoleto Festival. Choreographies by John Cranko, Marius Petipa, William Forsyth, Jiri Kilian, John Neumeier, Maurice Bejart, Uwe Scholz, David Bintley, Hans van Manen, Glen Tetley, Robert North, Mats Ek and Renato Zanella. Performing and Choreographing in Operas with Pierre Audi, Roland Aeschlimann, Laurence Dale and Peer Boysen in Munich State Opera, De Nederlandse Opera, Opera de Monte Carlo, Händel Festspiele Karsruhe, Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik. Benito Marcelino danced the leading role in the dancepiece Tschaikowski by Tomasz Kajdanski which was nominated for the Faust price 2006 in Germany.
