From Dance with Baby to the teenage-production Filter – at the Göteborg Opera you’ll find a broad variety of performances and activities aimed for families and a young audience. Many of our performances for children and young people are more than just performances – they invite you to participate and be a part of something new. Like Family Foyer, Recreate: The Ministry and “Skapadagar”, for example.

Göteborg Opera Children’s Chorus & Göteborg Opera Youth Chorus

The Göteborg Opera Children’s Chorus has a membership of 40 children between the ages of 9 and 12. The Göteborg Opera Youth Chorus has 60 members between 12 and 20 years old.

Young Ambassadors

These young people represent us, introduce new audience members to The Göteborg Opera, participate in projects onstage and behind the scenes, guide other youth groups visiting the opera and much more. The activities are designed in dialogue between young people and the Skapa initiative.  Young Ambassadors will be further developed during the autumn of 2020.
