Göteborg Opera Skapa
Skapa is dedicated to inclusiveness, artistic development and experiences for everyone. Anything can happen in the performing arts – and we make sure it does!
1. What is Återskapa?
You can choose to be on stage and in collaboration with professional artists create a new dance work inspired by the dance production The Ministry of Unresolved Feelings. Or choose to work with the technical aspects of a theatre production with professional stage technicians. Then you’ll work on a wide variety of tasks such as setting lights, and you’ll learn about the technical work that goes on backstage.
For six intense days we’ll dance, act, create, setting lights, have fun and meet new friends. The resulting show will be performed at the Göteborg Opera on the Small Stage to friends, family and the public.
Återskapa is led by Maria Fräki (choreographer) and Hanna Morau (director) together with dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. The team includes Frida Fridell (lighting technician), Peter Johansson (deputy stage manager) and Joel Björberg (stage, lighting and image technician).
2. Do you need to have done something like this before in order to take part?
No. All you need is a willingness to participate. This means that you should want to create, dance and perform together with others. You’re welcome to apply regardless of whether you have previous experience.
3. I play an instrument/rap/am an acrobat. Can I get involved?
Absolutely! Our aim is to create performance based on all the participants’ skills and abilities. There’s scope for everything and everyone here.
4. Is it free to participate?

There are no particular clothes or shoes you need to wear. Just make sure to wear comfortable clothing that you can move around freely in.
