Would you like to attend workshops with dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani?
Are you aged between 16 and 19?
Do you love dance, or would you like to give it a try?
Are you interested in digital storytelling?
Do you like sharing your thoughts and ideas?
We are looking for participants between 16 and 19 years of age, who want an insight into how we work with contemporary dance and storytelling.
The workshops will take place from September 2018 to June 2019, mostly at the Göteborg Opera in central Gothenburg, and we are looking for applicants who want to be a part of the programme from start to finish.
Together, we will explore different ways of working with dance, improvisation and choreography. The workshops are largely linked to the themes addressed in the new dance piece, The Ministry of Unresolved Feelings, by choreographer JoStrømgren, which will have its world premiere on 12 April 2019.
Participants in the workshops will also be part of a reference group exploring different ways of spreading stories about dance and the themes of the work across digital channels.
We are hoping to achieve a mixture of participants who love dance and others who are less familiar with the art form, but eager to discover it through direct meetings with our dancers.
We will also work with digital storytelling and therefore would like to see a mix of young people keen to explore dance together with other young people, to brainstorm together and share their thoughts and experiences.
Please submit your registration by 31 August 2018, to email@example.com, name the mail "Workshops".
