Inspiring days for curious people.

The Göteborg Opera’s Skapa Days are the perfect opportunity to explore music, singing, musical drama and dance. It’s a fabulous opportunity to try wonderful experiences, gain inspiration and inspire others. 

Skapa Days are held twice per season and offer something for all ages. Most of the action happens on the Small Stage. The programme may be updated, so keep an eye on this page as the next Skapa Days approaches!

Friday Hang-Out
23 October

A fun evening for everyone aged between 15 and 25 who loves music, dancing and socialising. Bring your instrument for some impromptu jamming! The dance floor is also open. Free admission, but limited availability – so come early!

Open Mic
26 October

Sing, read poems, dance, play an instrument! All performance contributions are welcome at Skapa’s exciting, unpredictable Open Mics. Free admission, but limited availability – so come early!

Jo Strømgren’s humorous dance creation for GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, aimed at young people, but enjoyed by all.

Autumn night music
30 & 31 October, 1 November

A vibrant and eclectic collage of musical drama exploring the theme “I am …”, featuring the Göteborg Opera Community Choir in collaboration with singers, musicians and the Göteborg Opera Youth Choruses. An engaging potpourri of songs, music, dance and other arts, for all ages. Musical director: Per Larsson. Director: Emelie Sigelius.

Relaxed performances
6 March 

Our “relaxed performances” are a type of concert specially created for audience members who have difficulty watching ordinary performances for any reason. The concerts have an informal atmosphere, the audience is free to move around, dance, sing or just listen to the music and sounds. Audience members may also come and go as they please.

8 March
