Skapa Days

The Göteborg Operas Skapa Days (Creative days) are an excellent opportunity for those with a curious mind to find out more about music, singing, dancing and other art forms. This is your chance to participate and experience, to inspire and be inspired.

Skapa Days are held twice every performance season. See you here!

Tuesday, 17 September 

Open Stage
7–9 pm, The Small Stage

Would you like to sing a song? Read a poem? Learn a new dance? Play an instrument? All types of performances are welcome when the Göteborg Opera International Chorus invites you to an evening of unexpected delights! 

Please register your performance by sending an email to our compere for the evening, Hanna Morau, skapa@opera.seSpontaneous performances on the night are very welcome!

Friday, 20 September

The Youth Biennale: Voices from Angered 
Performances at 10 am & 1 pm, The Small Stage.
School performances. Sold out!

Longing, dreams and reality. A show with singing, dancing, music, images and lyrics. Created and performed by pupils from the Angered School of Culture and Creative Arts.

Friday Chill Out
7–9 pm, The Small Stage

A relaxed evening for everyone aged 15 to 22 who likes to hang out and chill with other Music and dance lovers. Bring your instrument for some impromptu jamming - and the dance floor is open!

The Youth Biennale: Voices from Angered

Longing, dreams and reality. A show with singing, dancing, music, images and lyrics. Created and performed by pupils from the Angered School of Culture and Creative Arts. Feel free to arrive early and enjoy the free concert by Göteborg Opera Youth Chorus in our foyer.

Admission free for ticket holders.

”Civil courage is contagious” – a thought-provoking and exciting lecture by the popular Swedish-American anthropologist and specialist on civil courage and heroic actions - Brian Palmer. Brian Palmer was awarded the Levenzon Price as Harvard’s Best Lecturer in 2002 and now teaches at Uppsala University. He has hosted one of Sweden’s most popular radio shows ‘Summer on P1’ (Sommar i P1) and has also written several books on the subject of courage and heroic actions.

After the lecture follows a performance by the Recreate Project, ‘Die Walküre – Who is a hero?’ a brand new piece created and performed by young people in collaboration with a team of professionals.
