Open house

13 February, 10.30am – 3.00pm

A day for the whole family, with a love theme. Free admission!

On Thursday the 13th during the February school holidays we open up the house to any and all curious children and adults. Watch a performance, peek in at a rehearsal, see what it's like to be guided by a stage director, listen to love songs, dress up in theatre costumes, go on a guided tour behind the scenes, and much more!

The café is open all day and the restaurant is open for lunch 11.30am – 2.00pm.

All activities listed below are free (but with limited available tickets). For some of them you will need a ticket to participate – these are marked with an asterisk (*).

Tickets will be released 6 February at 10.00am.

Did you book tickets but aren't able to make it? Let the box office know by contacting us at biljetter@opera.se so that someone else can take your place!

A dance class for parents of babies who can't yet crawl or walk, where you will learn to dance with your baby, using easy but strengthening exercises, while you also get insights into GöteborgsOperans Danskompani and the opera house as a whole. Parents need to put aside their own wishes during their baby’s first months, making it difficult to find the time for cultural events or fitness training. In ’Dance with baby’ – led by Angelina Allen de Melo from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani – we offer parents the chance to do both!
Wear comfortable clothes which you can move freely in. No experience necessary.
The class runs for approx. 45 min, and is led in both English and Swedish.
