Kom inte hit!
Don’t Come Here!
A chamber opera by Daniel Fjellström and Vanja Hamidi Isacson.
Evi looks for answers from his childhood and finds the story of a family that was split apart in the search for a better life. The new chamber opera “Kom inte hit!” (Don’t Come Here!) is based on real life stories and portrays three people’s struggles against the system and desperate desires to be together.
The opera company Man Must Sing commissions, produces and performs newly written and norm-creative stage arts in Swedish in a smart and intimate format. The company consists of Nina Ewald (soprano), Amanda Flodin (mezzo-soprano) and Karl Peter Eriksson (baritone).
Man Must Sing’s first opera production was the critically acclaimed chamber opera “Aquarium”, which was premiered at Atalante in Gothenburg 2016 and was selected for performance at the Swedish Biennial for Performing Arts in 2017. This time they team up again with their collaborators from “Aquarium”: director Gunilla Johansson Gyllenspetz, set designer Martin Eriksson and lighting designer Christofer W Fogelberg.
“Kom inte hit!” is performed by the three singers of Man Must Sing and the musical trio, Trio Carelia. The opera has its first performance at Atalante on 11 October 2018.
