Soloists, musical artists, the Göteborg Operan’s Chorus and Orchestra take to the stage for two performances of previews from the coming season. Anja Bihlmaier conducts.

Untitled Black

GöteborgsOperans Danskompani opens their season during the Cultural Festival with a performance of Sharon Eyal’s ”Untitled Black” which premiered in 2012.

Monday 13 Aug

10.00am A limited amount of tickets to all Culture Festival events on the Main Stage will be released here on this webpage, and in the Box Office in our foyer. The remaining tickets will be released at 10am on the following days.

Tuesday 14 Aug

10.00am Ticket release for the day’s performances*
2.00pm Guided tour behind the scenes, in English (Swedish tours at 1 and 3pm).

Wednesday 15 Aug

10.00am Ticket release for the day’s performances*
2.00pm Guided tour behind the scenes, in English (Swedish tours at 1 and 3pm).
7.00pm Concert. Previews from the coming season, with soloists, the Göteborg Opera Chorus and Orchestra.

Thursday 16 Aug

10.00am Ticket release for the day’s performances*
11.30am Concert. Previews from the coming season, with soloists, the Göteborg Opera Chorus and Orchestra.
2.00pm Guided tour behind the scenes, in English (Swedish tours at 1 and 3pm).
6.00pm Concert. The Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra (Beijing). Guest performance in the foyer. (No ticket required, limited seating.)

Friday 17 Aug

10.00am Ticket release for the day’s performances*
2.00pm Guided tour behind the scenes, in English (Swedish tours at 1 and 3pm).
7.00pm Dance performance by GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, Untitled Black by Sharon Eyal.

Saturday 18 Aug

10.00am Ticket release for the day’s performances*
1.00–2.15pm Foyer concert”Glitter and be gay!” A Tribute to Bernstein: 100 Years

Part of Europride. No ticket required, limited seating.
2.30–3.00pm Foyer concert, Francisco López Martin (flute) and Patrizia Carciani (harp) perform music by Tchaikovsky and more. No ticket required, limited seating.
2.00pm Guided tour behind the scenes, in English (Swedish tours at 1 and 3pm).

Sunday 19 Aug

12.30pm  Näverlur of the year. Foyer.
2.00–2.45pm  Family show: Hansel & Gretel’s Opera Adventure. The Small Stage. Part of The Göteborg Piano Festival.

3.00–5.00pm  Göteborg Piano Festival concert, foyer. More information about the festival program can be found on the Göteborg Piano Festival website

* Free entry with ticket. After the initial ticket release, tickets will be released each day at 10am here on this page, by calling the box office on tel. 031-13 13 00 or by visiting the box office on our foyer. The Box Office is open from 12.00pm each day except 16 August, when it will open at 10am. Limited places available - first come, first served.

Max. 2 tickets per person for Main Stage events, max. 4 tickets per person for guided tours.
