Frozen Planet

Concert. An experience your family will never forget, embark on the ultimate polar expedition as The Goteborg Opera transforms itself into a movie theatre, showcasing the award-winning BBC documentary series, ‘Frozen Planet’.

Due to high demand we have now released tickets on the second balcony. Please be aware though that these seats have a very limited view of the film screen.

SEK 100 per seat on the second balcony. These tickets can only be purchased via the Box Office, not here online.

Award-winning documentary – with live orchestra. Frozen Planet shows life’s harsh conditions in the Arctic and Antarctic. Follow us on a fascinating journey, with unique sequences of the tender love-life of the polar bears, the killer whales’ cooperation, the wolves hunt for food and the penguin’s shrewdness. The film crew used the latest camera technology to portrait life in the Polar Region as you have never seen them before, and may never see them again …

Frozen Planet is TV-producer and pioneer sir David Attenborough’s ultimate portrait of the remote and isolated Polar Regions – our planet’s greatest and least explored wilderness.

The music is written by multiple Oscar-nominee composer George Fenton. We are delighted to announce that he will conduct The Göteborg Opera Orchestra live on this unforgettable journey.
