Hashtag life, hashtag you’re ok.
A musical theatre work by Jacob Andréas, Rudina Hatipi and Micaela Sjöstedt.
Two young people get into the same lift. She is quiet and reserved. He is glued to his mobile phone. The lift suddenly stops between two floors. The two youngsters are stuck there alone. They gradually open up to each other and start talking. Who are they, and what strategies do they adopt to seek acceptance from the surrounding world?
The new musical ”Filter” explores young people’s thoughts on identity and self-image in today’s social media-dominated world. It’s about role models and daring to be oneself in a world full of filters.
The first performance will be given for the school students who took part in the process. Filter is primarily written for teenagers aged 13 to 16, but will be appreciated by anyone who has ever been young and questioned their own identity.
First performance in spring 2021.
Performed at schools in Gothenburg, and subsequently on the Göteborg Opera Small Stage.
