Who takes whom in Mozart’s comedy?

In Mozart’s fast-paced comedy of mistaken identities ”Così fan tutte”, two young men don disguises in order to test their fidelity of their girlfriends as part of a bet. Who will win the bet, and who will win love?
The men are willing to risk losing the bet, convinced that the sisters would never betray them. Everything begins as planned, but slowly it all starts to unravel. Promises falter, infatuation takes over and bravado is replaced by jealousy. This dangerous game leads to desperation and sorrow, but also yearning and love. The question is, between whom?
Humans succumb to their weaknesses – as we all do – but Mozart stands firm on the side of unfaltering love. The music is composed with beauty, devotion and true emotional depth.
Director Mattias Ermedahl is no stranger to the Göteborg Opera where he has performed several major roles and in recent years has directed several productions.
Premiere on our stage in Skövde.
Then on tour in Västra Götaland, including our Small Stage in Gothenburg.
