Subscriptions

The ongoing pandemic and tightened local guidelines are affecting all of us. For us at the Göteborg Opera, this means not just empty auditoriums, but also changes to our work procedures both on and behind the stage. 

In order to adapt to the extreme situation society is facing, ensure a safe work environment and offer a stable repertoire, we have decided to reschedule parts of our remaining season. Some productions will be cancelled or postponed, and new works will be added. 

In view of this, the Göteborg Opera will cancel and refund all purchased subscriptions and tickets. Due to a high workload, it may take a few weeks for the money to be refunded. Our staff are working hard to provide the best possible service to you all. We thank you for your patience and understanding. 

This decision was taken with a heavy heart, but is necessary in light of the current situation. Our repertoire has changed since the subscriptions were released in March, and we still don't know when we’ll be able to welcome you back to our auditoriums. Instead of repeatedly postponing your tickets, we have decided to reset everything and start again from scratch. 

We continue to miss you terribly, and we hope the feeling is mutual. We look forward to seeing you in our auditoriums – both physical and digital. 

We are receiving many questions regarding the refund of subscriptions. If you have purchased and payed your subscription by card online, the money will be automatically refunded to your card. If you have bought your subscription in another way, we will contact you, mainly by e-mail, and ask for your account information. We are currently working very hard to manage the refund of all subscriptions for 2020/2021. It may take several weeks before the amount is repaid to your account. We greatly appreciate your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience or delays.

Do you have my account information? 

If you have purchased and payed your subscription by card online, the money will be automatically transferred to your card. If you have bought your subscription in another way, we will contact you, mainly by e-mail, and ask for your account information. 

When will I receive my money? 

Although we are working as fast and intense as possible, it will take several weeks before the amount is repaid to your account. Due to the very high workload on our staff, we’re not able to specify exactly when you will receive the refund. 

The information said the tickets are cancelled. Why haven’t I received my money? 

The tickets ae cancelled and we will refund you money. Depending on how you’ve made your purchased, you will receive either an automatic transfer to your card or a refund to your account. Due to a the current workload on our staff it might take several weeks before you receive your refund.
