There are three ways to purchase tickets: You can buy them directly online by clicking the »Buy ticket» button on each show's page, or by calling our box office on 031–13 13 00. You can also visit the box office and book your ticket.

Cash free
The entire opera house will be cash-free from 1 January 2020. Buy your e-tickets online here on opera.se. In the opera house itself we accept all major credit/debit card payments and Göteborg Opera gift vouchers.
Opening hours and telephone times
Our box office is open daily 12–6pm or until the start of the performance. Telephone bookings are open between 10am-6pm on weekdays. Call us on 031–13 13 00. Closed on show-free Sundays and public holidays.For irregular opening hours during holiday periods, see this page.

The price of the ticket depends on where in the auditorium you sit. If you are 20 years old or younger all performances are half-price.
The prices apply to our ordinary musical, opera and dance performances on the Main Stage. Prices may vary somewhat for special events and guest performances. If you have any questions you're welcome to phone our box office on +46 31 13 13 00.

Subscriptions. Choose imagination.
Mix the perfect blend of shows to suit your taste – and your calendar. Choose what you want to see and when you want to see it with our flexible Your Choice subscription. Choose 3 performances or more, book no later than 31 August, and you’ll receive a 20% discount!
As a subscriber you’re guaranteed a seat for the season’s unforgettable performances. You also gain access to many special offers from the Göteborg Opera and our partners, including the option to change the date of your tickets, as rebooking protection is included in the price.
Youth discount
If you're 20 or under, you pay only 50% of regular ticket price. If you're 28 or under, you pay only 75%. (There are a limited number of these tickets available per performance.)
Student discount
Students with a Mecenat card pay 75% of the regular ticket price. Applies to any performance.
Wheelchair users
Specific seats for wheelchair users can be found in the stalls, row 22. Please book these tickets via our box office by calling tel +46 31 13 13 00. Wheelchair users and accompanying persons pay 50% of the normal ticket price.
Escorts for wheelchair users
Let us know when booking tickets if you need an escort. We give a 50% discount both to the person with the disability and their escort. Please book these tickets via our box office by calling tel +46 31 13 13 00.

Warning for ticket fraud
Please be aware that there are websites which sell second-hand tickets to our performances. Customers have informed us that they have paid a much higher price than they should, or have not received their tickets in time for the performance. Unfortunately we are unable to help in these cases, since these customers have bought tickets from a third party.
To avoid being cheated or disappointed, we recommend that you always buy your tickets directly via this website opera.se or our box office in the foyer.

Pensioner discounts only apply to standard prices and cannot be combined with other discounts.
Rebooking Guarantee
Our rebooking protection allows you to, up to the day before the show, rebook your checked-out ticket to another performance of the same show (if seats are available). Up until four weeks before the day of your ticket, we refund your ticket.
You purchase rebooking protection at the same time as you purchase your ticket – either during the purchase process here on opera.se or in contact with our box office. When purchasing online, you will be asked if you want to add rebooking protection (ombokningsskydd in Swedish) to your purchase. Please note that you need to purchase rebooking protectioner per ticket.
