Susanne Barklund will be recognisable to many, for example, from the Lasse Åberg film SOS - En Segelsällskapsresa and Oles Tjej Krisse and from the Swedish TV series Goda Grannar in the role of Mia. After studying drama at Sweden's National Academy of Dramatic Art in Gothenburg, Susanne was employed at Malmö City Theatre where she performed in numerous productions, followed by engagements at theatres such as the Royal Dramatic Theatre. In 2009-10, she played the title role in the play Ruths Bok at the Alias Theatre in Stockholm. Over the years, she has been in a host of Swedish TV productions such as the series Sjätte Dagen in the role of bar-owner Sonja, Tusenbröder, Skeppsholmen and the lead role of Maud in the series Sthlm plus numerous programmes for children and teenagers. In addition, she has performed in Beck - Den japanska shungamålningen and the Stieg Trenter series Idag röd and Lysande Landning; in 2012 she appeared on German TV in the production Der Kommissar und das Meer (Eng: The Inspector and the Sea) in the role of Elin Winarve and most recently in the films Bitchkram and Studentfesten. Susanne's voice has been heard playing many parts on Radio Theatre, including Force Majeure and Utvecklingssamtalet, and she has often been engaged as a voice dubbing artist in films such as Harry Potter, The Iron Giant and Nanny McPhee. Most recently, Susanne comes straight from the Oscars Theatre production of La Cage aux Folles.
