Born in Athens, Rodula trained as a violinist at Mousikoi Orizontes Conservatory, as a musicologist at La Sorbonne and as a director at Paris 8 University and the International Theatre School Jacques Lecoq. She is a former Jette Parker Young Artist of the Royal Opera House - Covent Garden.
Recent productions include: Pagliacci (Teatro Nacional São Carlos, Lisbon), Vanessa (Wexford Festival Opera), Queen of Spades (Opera Holland Park, London), La Cenerentola (Teatro Verdi di Trieste), Tosca (Xi'an Concert Hall, China), Cosi fan tutte and La Cenerentola (Greek National Opera), L'isola disabitata (Royal Opera House and Hobart Baroque, Tasmania), Ariane, Alexandre bis, San Giovanni Battista and The Cooper (Guildhall School of Music and Drama), Riders to the Sea, Savitri and The Bartered Bride (British Youth Opera), Betrothal in a Monastery (RCS/Scottish Opera), a new version of Carmen (London's King’s Head), Dichterliebe (ROH Linbury Studio) etc.
She was nominated for two Helpmann Awards (Australia 2013) in the "Best Director" and "Best Production" categories for her production of L'isola disabitata. Her production of Barber’s Vanessa was nominated in the Irish Times Theatre Awards in the “Best Opera” category (Ireland 2017).
