Michael Keegan-Dolan, choreographer and director, was born in 1969 in Ireland. He founded Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre in 1997 and was its artistic and executive director until 2014.
He trained at the Central School of Ballet in London and in 2001 he began studying Japanese Sword and Yoga with John Evans. In 2002 he met Zhander Remete and has been studying yoga under his guidance for the past 12 years.
He was an associate artist at the Barbican Centre, London from 2006 to 2010 and became an associate artist at Sadlers Wells Theatre, London in 2011.
Recent work includes a new Stravinsky double bill, The Rite of Spring & Petrushka and Rian, both co-productions with Sadlers Wells. Rian won a Bessie Award in New York City in 2013.
