Mattias Suneson

Mattias Suneson was born in Göteborg and trained at Stora Teaterns Ballet School and the Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm. He joined Stora Teatern Balleten (the Göteborg Ballet from 1994) in 1988. He also danced for a year with Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Nytt Dansk Danseteater in Copenhagen, and for two years with the NDT in The Hague. Whilst with the Göteborg Ballet Mattias, amongst other roles, has danced Romeo in Romeo and Juliet in the productions by both Robert North and Martino Müller, Peter in The Nutcracker, James in Sylfiden, Colas in La Fille Mal Gardeé and the Boy in The Snowman. He has had a leading role in the production of many works, including some by, amongst others, Jirí Kylián, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin and Per Isberg.
