Mats Almgren

Mats Almgren started as a soloist at the Göteborg Opera the season 2001/2002 and has sung Zuniga in Carmen, Reimar von Zweter in Tannhäuser, Sprecher and Second Priest, Hagen in Der Niebelungen Ring, a musical/scenic compact version of Wagner's work,Javert in Les Misérables, Ferrando in Il Trovatore, Ramfis in Aida, The Ringmaster and the Athlete in Lulu, De Horn in Gustaf III, Un Ballo in Maschera and King Marke in Tristan und Isolde.

He has also played the parts of Sparafucile in Rigoletto at the Norwegian National Opera, Mathieu in Andréa Cheniér at Musikteatern in Värmland, Ford in Falstaff, Count Ceprano in Rigoletto, Crown in Porgy and Bess (concert version) and Hunding in Die Walküre.
