Lise-Lotte Axelsson

Lise-Lotte Axelsson was most recently Principal at The University College of Opera in Stockholm. She graduated as a piano soloist and piano pedagogue, with singing as a secondary subject, from The Royal College of Music in Stockholm. She has also studied teaching at the Guild Hall School in London and qualified as a répétiteur at The University College of Opera in Stockholm.

Lise-Lotte Axelsson has worked as a church musician, a piano pedagogue, a répétiteur and pianist with opera studios, master classes, concerts, CD recordings and radio and TV productions. During the course of her career she has worked with nearly all of Sweden’s foremost directors. She has also worked with a wide range of conductors, including Siegfried Köhler, Per Borin, Joakim Unander, Mikael Bartosch and Gunnar Staern, and in conjunction with radio projects also with Claudio Abbado, Carlo Maria Giulini and Andrew Davies.
