Ingemar Anderson, tenor, has been a soloist at the Göteborg Opera since 1996, performing roles such as the Blind Man in Aniara, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Goro in Madama Butterfly, the four servants in Les contes d'Hoffmann, Conte di Libenskof in Il viaggio a Reims, Bogdanovitch in Die lustige Witwe, the Captain in Wozzeck, Beppe in Pagliacci, Remendado in Carmen, Macduff in Jan Sandström’s Macbeth, and the Prince/Manservant/Marquis in Lulu.
He has also sung Valzacchi in Der Rosenkavalier, Ajax in La belle Hélène, Chekalinsky in The Queen of Spades, Tisbe in La Cenerentola, the Hunchback in Die Frau ohne Schatten, Prince Shuysky in Boris Godunov, Bardolfo in Falstaff, Count Elemer in Arabella, Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro, as a soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, Dr. Blind in Die Fledermaus, a Priest/First Guard in Die Zauberflöte, Kunz Vogelgesang in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Sellem in The Rake’s Progress, and the Count of Lerma in Don Carlos. He has appeared most recently as the First Jew in Salome, the Drunkard in Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District, and Lönnegren in Kristina från Duvemåla, Professor Rossner/Agent 1 in the new opera Notorious (2015), Hauk-Sendorf in The Makropulos Affair and most recently as Goro in Madama Butterfly.
Anderson has also made guest appearances at NorrlandsOperan and the Malmö Opera.
