Finn Rosengren, conductor, arrived at the Stora Teatern opera house in 1978 and, over the years, has conducted a host of works within various genres: orchestral concerts, operas, ballets, operettas and musicals; at the Göteborg Opera, for example, Jesus Christ Superstar, A Chorus Line, The Sound of Music, Miss Saigon, Kiss me Kate, Cats, My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins, Guys and Dolls, Sunset Boulevard and West Side Story. Operas/operettas he has conducted include Blomdahl's Aniara, Richard Strauss's Salome, Léhar's The Merry Widow, Offenbach's The Adventures of Hoffmann, Carmen, Il Trovatore, Gustaf III, The Queen of Spades, The Nutcracker, Falstaff, Turandot, La Traviata, Macbeth, Die Fledermaus, The Magic Flute, Thaïs, Tosca and Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk District. Dance productions include Re:Beauty, Stravinskij+ and 3xBoléro. For many years, Finn Rosengren also actively worked as a conductor for the Gothenburg Youth Orchestra, and he also gives guest performances with other orchestras. He has taken a special interest in promoting Swedish music.
