David Dramm is an American who now resides in Amsterdam. He works as a composer, singer, guitarist and writer, and he moves freely within musical art contexts such as improvisation, rock, theatre and dance. David Dramm composes for classical musical art ensembles, orchestras and musicians such as Rotterdam Philharmonic, ASKO/Schoenberg Ensemble and Frances-Marie Uitti. His unconventional pop arrangements for John Cale, Low and Junkie XL are often played on radio, and his music has been recorded on numerous discs. His collaboration with the Netherlands Wind Ensemble is broadcast on TV and radio every New Years Day in several countries. David Dramm's music has been characterised as ”an innovative field somewhere between Charles Ives, Jimi Hendricks and Lou Reed”.
