Daniel Johansson, tenor studied at the University College of Opera in Stockholm, has already sung a number of major roles in Scandinavia and now also has an international career. He has been linked to the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo where he has sung roles such as Tamino in The Magic Flute, Rodolfo in La Bohème, Macduff in Macbeth, Alfred in Die Fledermaus and Narraboth in Salome. He has sung Tamino and Rodolfo at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, Alfredo in La Traviata and Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly at Opera Hedeland in Denmark, the title role in Faust at Folkoperan in Stockholm and Nemorino in L'Elisir d'Amore at the Dalhalla music venue in Dalarna. In spring 2013, Daniel Johansson appeared as Alfredo at the Grand Théâtre de Genève and as Tamino at Palau de les Arts in Valencia. On CD, he can be heard singing Magnus Gabriel de la Gardie in Jacopo Foroni's opera Cristina, Regina di Svezia with the Göteborg Opera Orchestra under the direction of Tobias Ringborg. Recently, Daniel Johansson introduced himself to a broader audience when he performed with several of Sweden's most prominent artists in TV broadcasts from the Swedish Parliament celebrating King Carl XVI Gustaf's 40th Jubilee. In February 2014, Daniel Johansson is singing the role of Lensky in the concert performance of Eugene Onegin in Umeå, one of the European cities of culture in 2014.
