Cynthia Kai, choreographer, studied at North Carolina School of the Arts. Cynthia Kai has performed and choreographed for 28 years. In theaters such as the GöteborgsOperan, the National theater of Oslo, Trøndelag theater, Oslo Nye teater, Chat Noir theater, Wallmanns Oslo and many more, in productions of: Cabaret, Fiddler on the Roof, Mary Poppins, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Hello Dolly, Evita, Rent, A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum, and Chicago to name a few. She has worked in dance groups in Norway, the Kansas City Ballet in the USA, and Sweden’s Joe Labero. She was recently resident choreographer at Östgötateatern, where she also had her directing debut with A Soldiers Tale. She has taught at The Gothenburg University, professional classes in Oslo and Gothenburg, The Ballet academy in Gothenburg and Bårdar Academy in Oslo.
