Charlotta Öfverholm has created over 20 independent productions with which she has toured extensively worldwide.
She has also created commisioned works for companies throughout Europe and the US, including NorrDans, Ballet Linz, Vertedance and Peridance, as well as works for film, television and opera. Öfverholm was educated at Balettakademien in Göteborg, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in New York City and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles.
She has had a long international career as a performer with companies and choreographers such as the DV8 Physical Theatre (London), Complexions Contemporary Ballet and Bill T. Jones (New York), Farm in the Cave (Prague), Corinne Lanselle (Paris), Roberto Galvan (Giessen), the Tolada Dance Company with Joseph Tmim (Berlin), Metros with Ramon Oller (Barcelona), and Björn Elisson and Dorte Olesen (Stockholm). She has danced such leading roles as Hamlet at the Landestheater Linz with Robert Poole and Lola in Lola and Mr. Talk by Jan Kodet, for which she was nominated for the Thalia Award at the National Theatre in Prague.
