Alexander Hanson

Alexander Hanson (conductor) began his career as a musician by studying trumpet at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He obtained his training as a conductor at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki where he graduated under Professor Leif Segerstam in 2004. He also studied under Jorma Panula. Alexander Hanson is a regular guest conductor at most of Sweden's professional orchestras and constantly also makes guest appearances throughout the rest of the Nordic countries. In 2012, he made his debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in the Cadogan Hall, London. During the 2013/2014 season, he is giving guest performances, for example, at the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.

Alexander Hanson has made many recordings with orchestras including the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, Dalasinfoniettan, Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Gävle Symphony Orchestra and Göteborg Wind Orchestra. From 2005 to 2012, Alexander Hanson worked as principal conductor and artistic director for Göteborg Wind Orchestra.
