The performances of Die Walküre in January 2004 were a complete success. It wasn’t long before all three performances were sold out and many Wagner lovers in Europe were sorely disappointed. We are therefore very pleased to have been able to engage the same cast for another two performances in 2005. Folke Abenius’ idea of the stage surrounded by the orchestra created an atmosphere and an intimacy that have never been experienced before. The orchestra and soloists under conductor Patrik Ringborg received standing ovations and the press was equally ecstatic!
