NUdans 2013. GöteborgsOperans Danskompani's seasonal student dance company NUdans is back on the Small Stage.
25 - 26 May 2013
Seven of Sweden's most promising young dancers are taking over The Göteborg Opera. Three choreographers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani have each created a work for them, on the theme of Homeland & Risk Zones.
Choreographers spring 2013: Rebecca Hytting, Moritz Ostruschnjak, Chiaki Horita.
Chiaki Horita bases her creation Territory on her personal experiences of migration: of leaving her homeland of Japan to move to another continent.
Swedish Rebecca Hytting let the emotions within the body decide the movement and creates Peter together with DJ Ori Lichtik, who was responsible for the music in the Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar work Untitled Black in Homeland? in 2012.
In Super Animal, German-born Moritz Ostruschnjak starts out from the dance student's life and dreams about dance.
Artistic coordinator and mentor: Liselott Berg.
NUdans 2013 is a season-based dance company consists of seven selected dance graduate students from Sweden's professional dance training programmes. For four weeks, they accompany GöteborgsOperans Danskompani and work on a production created exclusively for them by our dancers. The students come from the Royal Swedish Ballet School, the University of Dance and Circus and the Gothenburg Ballet Academy.
