Concert. Let children be children. That’s why this gala evening is for adults only. The Göteborg Opera is celebrating the Tenth Anniversary of the World Childhood Foundation by arranging a gala evening.
On Monday 18 May at 18.30, we will roll out the red carpet for H.M. Queen Silvia (the founder of the World Childhood Foundation), H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf, H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria, H.R.H. Princess Madeleine and other guests.
We have for sale a number of exclusive tickets for the gala evening. The tickets will be available from Monday 6 April at 12 noon and cost 1700 Swedish Crowns each. These tickets can be obtained only at the Göteborg Opera ticket office (no sales by telephone). A valid ID card must be shown and you may buy only two tickets per person. The number of available tickets is limited. The entire proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated by the Göteborg Opera to the World Childhood Foundation to help them in their efforts to improve the lives of children who are in danger. Moreover, Stena will donate the same amount as the proceeds from these exclusive tickets.
On stage, you will see artists such as Anne-Sophie Mutter, Peter Jöback, Marie Fredriksson, Katarina Karnéus, Miah Persson, Gerard Powers, Fredrik Zetterström, Mats Persson, Tomas Lind, Annalena Persson and Carolina Sandgren. They will be supported by musical artists, the Göteborg Ballet, Chorus and Orchestra. The conductor for the evening is Pietro Rizzo.
If you are one of the guests, the dress code for this event is dinner jacket or dark suit.
