A few Saturdays every season, musicians and singers from the Göteborg Opera present concerts in the foyer. Free admission.
The foyer concerts usually start at 12.30pm. The Göteborg Opera Café opens at 11.30am.

Debussy & duets
Songs by Claude Debussy and the Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho.
With: Tiina Markkanen, soprano, and Lisa Fröberg, pianist.
Duets for trombone and trumpet by Bach, Telemann, Swedish composer Folke Rabe, and others.
With: Louise Pollock, trombone, and Roeland Henken, trumpet.

Olof Söderberg (tenor) and Anton Ljungqvist (baritone) are accompanied on the piano by Tommy Jonsson.
30 September, Klezmer!
The Gothenburg-based quartet Zimmes will fill the foyer with modern klezmer – a traditional Jewish music style which combines influences from rock, punk and pop. Attitude and euphoria! Zimmes, which includes a violinist from the Göteborg Opera Orchestra, tours regularly throughout Sweden and Europe.
Performing: Max Wulfson (violin), Theodor Hedström (guitar), Nils Kristensson (bass) and Klas Richardsson (drums).
15 October, Longing
A selection of songs from musicals, romances, folk songs and opera – with longing as the theme. With court singer Ingrid Tobiasson and Joakim Kallhed on the piano.
4 November, Strauss & Beethoven
Richard Strauss’ Violin Sonata op. 18. With: Helga Hencz (violin), Eva Avèd (piano).
Beethoven’s Septet in E-flat major, Opus 20. With: Tarina Lennartsson (clarinet), Gabriel Litsgård (bassoon), Grégoire Nenert (horn), Yuki Tashiro (violin), Magnus Pehrsson (viola), Ingrid Thieffry (cello) och Mats Larsson (double bass).
