The Göteborg Ballet visiting Göteborgs Stadsteater.

Premiere 4 May ”She was black” by Mats Ek, to the accompaniment of the music dedicated by the Polish composer, Henryk Górecki, to the Black Madonna. The music strikes a strident, tragic note and accentuates the mood of Ek’s choreography, which is a veritable explosion of movement and feeling.

Tero Saarinen’s work Georgia is full of energy, strength and joie de vivre, a rich tribute to the returning light of spring. The two ballets are in complete contrast to each other.
