Meet two masters from different generations. Noetic, a creation by Belgian Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui can contain everything from deep spirituality to comedy. The thing that interests him most is what happens between the dancers, rather than the movements of the individual dancer. Larbi’s roots are in the cultures of both Morocco and Central Europe. His artistic identity has been influenced by many years of involvement in the Belgian dance company Les Ballets C de la B, whose work belongs among the most exciting things to have happened within dance in recent decades.

Saburo Teshigawara is one of the world’s most prominent choreographers. He has been awarded the foremost honours both in his own country and internationally. Faithful to the culture of his homeland, Teshigawara is minimalist – everything he creates is aesthetic, beautiful and pared down. It is also spiritual and subtle. The music accompanying Metamorphosis consists both of newly composed electronic music, and choral work with a capella singing.

Spanish Marina Mascarell’s Mongrel is poetic, political, intimate and explores the meaning of “The Stranger”. Who is the stranger, and why don’t we welcome the strangers into our lives?
By not staying too long in any one place, Marina Mascarell has created her own style without being overly influenced by other artists. After a dancing career which has included NDT 1 and 2 and Cedar Lake in New York, she now works as an international choreographer. Her works are available at companies such as Scapino and Geneva Ballet and in the spring of 2016 also at Skåne's Dance Theatre. Marina Mascarell is also active as resident choreographer at Korzo Theater Productions in The Hague.
