The Brothers Lionheart
A new musical for all the family by Bo Wastesson, Ture Rangström och Staffan Götestam.

The tale of the two Brothers Lionheart and their fight against evil has become one of Astrid Lindgren’s best loved books. This story of love, responsibility and courage is now presented as a musical for all the family.
The film of The Brothers Lionheart, released in 1978, was directed by Olle Hellbom, and starred many of our greatest actors, including Allan Edwall, Gun Wållgren and Per Oscarsson. Staffan Götestam played the part of the elder brother, Jonatan, and it is he who had the idea for this production and who wrote the script.
It is with much pleasure and anticipation that Göteborgs Opera now presents this brand new musical for all the family, to be performed in a number of places throughout Västra Götaland, including the main stage at Göteborgs Opera.
