Il Barbiere di Siviglia

David Radok’s production of Rossini’s humorous opera enjoyed a successful première at The Göteborg Opera in the autumn of 2000. Since then it has been performed more than thirty times on our stage without any decrease in public demand. We are therefore very happy to be able to make room once again for Il Barbiere di Siviglia.

This time, we are pleased to present some new artists including Renato Girolami, who sings the role of Doctor Bartolo, and conductor Antonello Allemandi, who has enjoyed a lot of success around the world. David Radok’s production of Il Barbiere di Siviglia was also performed at the Aix en-Provence festival in the summer of 2005.
