Dance. A number of homes and locations around Rymdtorget in Bergsjön will be transformed into temporary local stages by the dancers from the company.
37°/ Suburbia – you can’t get any closer.
A public square. A balcony. A church. A private home. Places which for one night transform into stages as you approach them. Equipped with a map, you find your way to experiences created by members of GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.
The art work 37˚ / Suburbia consists of a dozen intimate creations in mini format. 37˚ / Suburbia is a part of Homeland & Risk Zones.
37˚ / Suburbia plays with the perception of reality and theatre. You’re allowed to step into no-go areas and experience art in a very different format. What will you see? Whose reality are you in – and how will you react when you get permission to enter it?
37˚ / Suburbia is a dynamic art experience for a small, curious audience – far from the traditional stages.
May 16th & 17th, starting at 6 pm.

Live Art by and with Adolphe Binder and Meritxell Aumedes Molinero.
The cartography of the veiled. An envelope arouses curiosity – about the cover as well as the veiled. As in a gift both belong together. Content and wrapping and the tension between. Vested interests. This piece focuses on the semiotic dimensions of visualization of the ostensibly non-visible.
P^4 – Post Performance Portrait Project
What lies behind this ambition to perform? How do we reflect (or not) on our performances, come to terms with exhaustion, or sometimes ride the adrenaline rush that remains? Ongoing photo project.

An homage to the drag artist Christer Lindarw’s spectacular shows, and an analogy for the power we have as human beings to choose – who to be and how we can make this world a beautiful place.
An installation of how people can identify between the reality of a human and a mannequin. Showing how mannequins could move in a small human form.

An everyday home transforms into a living, surrealist painting.
A free improvisation of music and dance searching to break the boarders between the two art forms.

As the guests enter the intimacy of a private home they encounter a world that extends beyond its walls.
Guitarist, violinist, visual artist, dancer ... we are all from Japan and for the first time we are collaborating!
What is sight? Is it possible to see without using your eyes?
Live performance installation involving two sisters, questioning the tangibility of home. Projecting into past realities and future possibilities of a place to create a disjointed sense of belonging.
This dance-installation is an outcome of a critical reflection on the contrasting experiences of individuals. A personal journey in which social surroundings become unconsciously absurd in a dream-like world.
GöteborgsOperans Danskompani consists of 39 dancers from 16 countries and is recognized as one of the best European contemporary companies. During Göteborgs Dans & Teater Festival they will present the art work 37˚/ Suburbia.
