Children & youth.

During the 2010/2011 season The Göteborg Opera will put a special emphasis on entertainment for its younger audience.

The Göteborg Opera composer Thomas Lindahl has written a new musical drama for children together with Irena Kraus, Min mamma är en drake (My Mum is a Dragon), based on the novel by Pija Lindenbaum.

Thomas Lindahl has also created the musical arrangement for Babar, a musical tale for primary school pupils. In addition, two family concerts will be given on the Main Stage; Peter och Vargen (Peter and the Wolf) in August and a concert with an Astrid Lindgren theme in May 2011.

For December we’re planning a Christmas foyer concert which will fill the entire foyer with the spirit of Christmas. Sagofoajén (Story telling in the Foyer) will still be available for our youngest audience members and will take place regularly throughout the season.

Apply for organisers' subsidies.
